I read this article and I thought about it all night. I find the analogy, especially turning the black belt back to white, to be particularly appropriate. In relation to some comments that I made to a piece by Bob Fagan about mental toughness, it seems to me that that path of the martial arts student is the lifelong desire to achieve mental toughness that is in sync with the development of the physical capabilities. The two can only be achieved in golf through what we call 'finding it in the dirt' it seems to me.

Thanks for writing this. It made me think for several hours.

Nice work. A valuable reminder to all of us who sulk after a bad practice session, or a bad round. How I perform on the course isn't nearly as important as how I handle the way I performed on the course. At the end of the day, nobody cares if you had a bad round because they're too wrapped up in their own performance. But they do care if you bahaved poorly.

Great Post.

I have actually managed to play a few shots like this recently. It is a really handy tool to have in your bag of golf tricks.

Thanks again.

The more sites I visit the more I realize that most of them don’t live up to their promise, but this one is different. I love it.

Tiger has some things to figure out, it appears. I hope he does his soul searching and comes back and plays like hell. He is a great golfer to follow. Amazing talent in one amongst the foremost difficult sports on earth.

I usually play a ProV1. The Fire is a very good ball. Maybe even a little softer than the ProV1. But in all honesty I can't see paying $75 a dozen vs. $45 a dozen for the ProV1.

Hi There, I just spent a little time reading through your posts, which I found entirely by mistake whilst researching one of my projects. Please continue to write more because it’s unusual that someone has something interesting to say about this. Will be waiting for more!
